I love old photographs!  I purchased a bunch which I decided to paint into.  These are the first two completed ones.  I feel like a kid who’s stealing her mother’s tabloid rag and drawing moustaches and devil horns all over the glossy pages.  Nevertheless, these kind of tickle me pink.

What do they need such good eyesight for anyway?

I wasn’t completely happy with the finished drawing I originally posted, so here it is complete with stained background.  I was also able to find some specimen which have been adhered to the page.  Do not be deceived by their small size, they definitely do eat babies .

I wish I could figure out how to take better pictures with my camera. This picture also definitely needs to be matted … too much white space around.
