Upcoming burlesque perfomances

I am briefly coming out of my burlesque hiatus for Pride this upcoming weekend!

On Wednesday, I will be performing with the Cinnamon Hearts at The Gladstone Hotel for Granny Boots.

On Sunday night, I will be doing my favouritist number ever in the history of everything that is really, really, ridiculously awesome. That’s right, Rani Rhinestone and I will be presenting our Zoolander number for queers who cannot read good at Gladaman’s Den.

The past months have been a whirlwind of busy for me.

In between school, organizing my life, and other such mundane activities, I have managed to make a few new fun creations. Meet The Food Friends:

As well, my roommates and I threw a party to welcome the arrival our new apartment couch. This was definitely an occasion to pull out all the stops for so I baked a kitty litter cake! Who knew making food look like poo could be so fun? Actually, I suspected as much because I am that kind of girl.

Moving on from food to zombies, more specifically zombeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees, I made this little guy which I am proud of. He turned out a lot better than I expected. It is my favourite combination of weird horror with a splash of cute. The only thing that could possibly be better is a undead bunny.

I love old photographs! I purchased a bunch which I decided to paint into. These are the first two completed ones. I feel like a kid who’s stealing her mother’s tabloid rag and drawing moustaches and devil horns all over the glossy pages. Nevertheless, these kind of tickle me pink.

I wasn’t completely happy with the finished drawing I originally posted, so here it is complete with stained background. I was also able to find some specimen which have been adhered to the page. Do not be deceived by their small size, they definitely do eat babies .

These are three drawings from a few years ago. Clearly I have a fascination with weirdly emaciated characters with pot bellies and circus themes. The little cabinet in the last drawing actually opens up to display a bisection of an open mouth.
